Cilostazol Tablet 50 / 100 mg

CILOZIP Tablet is used in the treatment of pain in the legs due to insufficient blood flow (intermittent claudication). It also helps in reducing cramping, numbness, or weakness in the legs that occurs on walking in such patients.

INDICATIONS:

Improves blood flow in legs

Reduces leg pain while walking (claudication)

MECHANISM OF ACTION:

Cilostazol works by inhibiting an enzyme called phosphodiesterase III (PDE3), which increases levels of cyclic AMP (cAMP) in platelets and blood vessels. This leads to reduced platelet aggregation, meaning it helps prevent blood clots. At the same time, it causes blood vessels to relax and widen (vasodilation), improving blood flow. Better circulation helps deliver more oxygen to muscles during walking. Overall, this action reduces leg pain and improves walking ability in people with poor blood flow.

DOSAGE:

Taken twice a day, or as directed by the physician, depending on your condition.
