SODIUM ALGINATE IP 250MG, SODIUM BICARBONATE IP 133.5MG, CALCIUM CARBONATE IP 80MG is a combination of three medicines used in acidity and heartburn. It neutralises the acid present in the stomach and protects the stomach from damage due to excessive acid.

MECHANISM OF ACTION

The formulation contains Sodium Alginate IP (250mg), Sodium Bicarbonate IP (133.5mg), and Calcium Carbonate IP (80mg). Sodium Alginate is a natural polysaccharide that forms a gel when in contact with stomach acids, helping to create a protective barrier. Sodium Bicarbonate acts as an antacid, neutralising excess stomach acid and providing relief from heartburn and indigestion. Calcium Carbonate also serves as an antacid, further helping to reduce acidity and discomfort. Together, these ingredients work synergistically to manage symptoms of acid reflux, heartburn, and indigestion by neutralising stomach acid and forming a protective layer in the stomach.
