Gefitinib 250mg

GEFIPEACE 250 It is used in patients in which it has spread to other parts of the body, who have abnormal epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) genes, and who have not had previous treatment for cancer.

INDICATIONS:

Non-small cell lung cancer

It may also be used after other treatments, such as chemotherapy, if the cancer has progressed.

MECHANISM OF ACTION:

(GEFIPEACE 25) Gefitinib 250mg is an inhibitor of the epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) tyrosine kinase that binds to the adenosine triphosphate (ATP)-binding site of the enzyme. EGFR is often shown to be overexpressed in certain human carcinoma cells, such as lung and breast cancer cells
