Losartan potassium 50 mg & Hydrochlorothiazide 12.5 tablets

LOSARTRIX H is a combination of two medicinal compounds

Losartan and Hydrochlorothiazide.

Losartan is in a class of medications called angiotensin II receptor antagonists.

Hydrochlorothiazide is in a class of medications called diuretics

INDICATION :

Hypertension

Prevention of stroke

Heart Attack

Edema (Fluid Retention)

MECHANISM OF ACTION :

Losartan is an angiotensin receptor blocker that helps to relax and widen the blood vessels (arteries).

Hydrochlorothiazide is a diuretic that prevents absorption of excess salt in the body, preventing fluid retention.

Together they lower blood pressure and prevent the risk of stroke, heart attack, and edema (fluid retention).

DOSAGE :

One tablet once a day or as directed by the doctor.
