INDICATIONS & USES:

SEVECARD (Sevelamer) is used to lower high blood phosphorus (phosphate) levels in patients who are on dialysis due to severe kidney disease.

Decreasing blood phosphate levels can help in keeping high phosphate levels.

prevent unsafe buildup of minerals in the body, and possibly decrease the risk of heart disease and strokes that can result from high phosphate levels.

MECHANISM OF ACTION:

SEVECARD (Sevelamer) binds to the phosphate & inhibits its absorption from the intestine and lower the phosphate levels in the blood.

DOSAGE:

1 Tablet 2 to 4 times a day or as directed by the doctor.
