KIVEROXA
Rivaroxaban (2.5 / 10 / 20) mg Tablets.
KIVEROXA (Rivaroxaban) belongs to a class of drugs known as factor Xa inhibitors.
It is used to treat unhealthy clot formation in different parts of the body.
INDICATIONS:
Pulmonary embolism (PE – A Blood clot in the lung).
Stroke
Atrial fibrillation
Coronary heart disease
Deep vein thrombosis (DVT – A blood clot, usually in the leg.)
MECHANISM OF ACTION:
KIVEROXA (Rivaroxaban) works by stopping a clotting factor called factor Xa from working (Factor Xa plays a major role in the blood clotting process). Thereby thinning the blood and preventing it from clotting.
DOSAGE:
The General dose range varies from 10- 20mg/day, based on the condition of the patient, or as directed by the physician.
Rivaroxaban 2.5 mg is given in combination with aspirin.
