PSYPRAMINE (Imipramine) belongs to a class of medications called Tricyclic antidepressants.

INDICATIONS:

PSYPRAMINE is generally prescribed for the treatment of Depression.

It is also prescribed for Bed-wetting in children of age 6 years or older.

MECHANISM OF ACTION;

PSYPRAMINE (Imipramine) works on the central nervous system to increase the levels of certain chemicals in the brain like norepinephrine. This action improves the symptoms of depression. For Bed-wetting, It may work by blocking certain chemicals in the child’s central nervous system.

DOSAGE:

Initial Dose- 25 mg once or twice a day or as directed by the physician

Maximum Dose – 75 mg /day
