EPILAMIDE (Lacosamide) is an anticonvulsant or antiepileptic drug. It is used to prevent and control seizures. It works by reducing the spread of seizure activity in the brain.

INDICATIONS:

Epilepsy

Partial onset seizures

Focal-onset seizures (loss of awareness of the surroundings)

Grand mal seizures (seizure that involves the entire body)

MECHANISM OF ACTION:

EPILAMIDE (Lacosamide) works by decreasing abnormal electrical activity in the brain by the modulation of voltage-gated sodium channels, thereby reducing the frequency of seizures.

DOSAGE:

The dose range may vary from 50-400 mg/day, based on the tolerance and condition of the patient.
