AEEKARBOSE M 25/500 Tablet is an anti-diabetic drug used to treat type 2 diabetes mellitus in adults. It helps control blood sugar levels in people with diabetes.

INDICATIONS :

Control of Blood Sugar Levels in Type 2 Diabetes

Helps prevent or delay complications of diabetes such as nerve damage, kidney disease, and retinopathy.

MECHANISM OF ACTION : Acarbose (25 mg) + Metformin (500 mg) combines two medications with complementary mechanisms to manage blood sugar levels in type 2 diabetes. Acarbose, an alpha-glucosidase inhibitor, delays carbohydrate digestion and absorption in the intestines, preventing postprandial glucose spikes. Metformin, a biguanide, primarily reduces hepatic glucose production and enhances insulin sensitivity in peripheral tissues

DIRECTION OF USE :

One tablet taken 2 to 3 times daily with meals, as directed by a physician.

STORAGE :

Acarbose tablets should be stored in a temperature between 20?C to 25?C
