AZPROTAS

Azithromycin Tablets IP (250/500) mg.

AZPROTAS (Azithromycin) belongs to a class of drugs known as Macrolide antibiotics.

This medication is widely used for the treatment of bacterial infections.

INDICATIONS:

Acute bacterial sinusitis.

Infections of Skin, Ear,Nose & Throat due to Staphylococcus & Streptococcus Bacteria.

Tonsillitis (Inflammation of the tonsils)

Acute bacterial exacerbations of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.

MECHANISM OF ACTION:

(AZPROTAS) Azithromycin is an antibiotic. It works by preventing synthesis of essential proteins required by bacteria to carry out vital functions. Thus, it stops the bacteria from growing, and prevents the infection from spreading.

DOSAGE:

The dose range varies from 500 to 2000 mg/day based on the condition of the patient, or as directed by the physician.
