BEMPLYN 180 Bempedoic Acid 180mg Tablet is used to lower cholesterol and reduce the risk of heart disease. Cholesterol is a fatty substance that builds up in your blood vessels and causes narrowing, possibly leading to a heart attack or stroke.

INDICATIONS:

Used with statins for extra cholesterol control
Helps reduce heart disease risk.

MECHANISM OF ACTION:

Bempedoic acid inhibits the enzyme ATP citrate lyase (ACL), which is involved in the cholesterol biosynthesis pathway in the liver. By blocking ACL, it reduces the production of cholesterol upstream of HMG-CoA reductase (the target of statins), leading to decreased LDL cholesterol levels. Unlike statins, it is a prodrug activated only in the liver, minimizing muscle-related side effect

DOSAGE:

1 Tablet a day, based on the condition of the patient
