BUPOMIND – XL 150 (Bupropion Hydrochloride) is an anti-depressant medication which belongs to the NDRI (Norepinephrine-dopamine reuptake inhibitor) category.

MECHANISM OF ACTION:

BUPOMIND – XL 150 (Bupropion) works in depression by increasing the levels of chemical messengers in the brain that helps in regulating mood.

It is effective in the early stages of smoking cessation withdrawal by attenuating the effects of nicotine withdrawal. This is most probably mediated by the inhibition of dopamine reuptake within the synaptic cleft.

DOSAGE:

Maximum dosage: 450 mg per day, taken in divided doses of no more than 150 mg each.
