Medroxyprogesterone Acetate Sustained Release Tablets 30 mg.

Medroxyprogesterone (Corpaleum) belongs to a class of medicines called Progestins.

INDICATION:

This medication is generally used for the following medical Conditions:

Can be used for the treatment of severe cases of DUB – Dysfunctional uterine bleeding (DUB). It is classically defined as excessively heavy, prolonged, or frequent bleeding of the uterus, It typically occurs during Menarche stage & Premenstrual Conditions.

Endometriosis.

(Endometriosis is a condition in which the tissue that lines the inside of the uterus or womb called the endometrium starts growing outside the uterine cavity. The typical symptoms of endometriosis include heavy menstrual flow, pelvic pain, and pain during urinary or bowel movements)

Can be prescribed for infertility caused due to Endometriosis.

Amenorrhea (Unusual stopping of menstrual periods)

MECHANISM OF ACTION:

Medroxyprogesterone (Corpaleum) works by replacing the natural progesterone hormone that the body is unable to make. This treats painful, irregular/absent menstrual periods and prevents overgrowth of the lining of the uterus.

DOSAGE:

Forgetability has always been a problem for the patients who take regular and prolonged treatment thus to avoid the problem of forgetability while taking the medicine 1 Tablet (30 mg-SR) can be given for 90 Days
