DIACRA (Diacerein) is a slow-acting medicine of the class ‘anthraquinones’ used to treat joint diseases.

INDICATION:

This medication is generally used in the treatment of Osteoarthritis.

(Degeneration of joint cartilage and the underlying bone, most common from middle age onward. It causes pain and stiffness, especially in the hip, knee, and thumb joints)

MECHANISM OF ACTION:

Diacerein is a proteoglycan synthesis stimulator. It works by building cartilage (soft connective tissue around the joints) leading to joint repair. It also lowers pain and inflammation (swelling).

DOSAGE:

1 50mg Capsule twice daily.
