Isotretoin Capsules 10/20 mg.

ISTROTAS Capsules contain Isotretinoin as the active ingredient. It belongs to a class of medicines called retinoids.

INDICATIONS:

This medication is used to treat severe recalcitrant nodular acne (a certain type of severe acne) that has not been helped by other treatments, such as antibiotics.

MECHANISM OF ACTION:[Text Wrapping Break]Isotretinoin is a derivative of vitamin A. It acts on glands (sebaceous) to reduce the production of a natural substance (sebum) that causes acne. Also, the controlled sebum production kills acne-causing bacteria. It also works as an anti-inflammatory to decrease inflammation (redness and swelling).

DOSAGE:

1 Capsule once or twice a day or as directed by the physician.
