KLOKYLIDONE (Chlorthalidone) belongs to a class of drugs known as Diuretics

(sulfamoyl benzamide class).

This medication helps the body to get rid of extra salt and water through urine.

INDICATION:

Hypertension (High blood pressure)

Edema associated with heart failure

Cirrhosis of the liver

Renal disease

MECHANISM OF ACTION:

KLOKYLIDONE (Chlorthalidone) lowers the blood pressure by removing extra water and certain electrolytes from the body. Thereby relaxing the blood vessels and improving the blood flow.

DOSAGE:

General Dose – 12.5 to 50 mg/day or as directed by the physician.
