Depression

OFF LABEL INDICATIONS OF THIS MEDICATION INCLUDES:

Insomnia, Panic Disorder, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder, Generalised Anxiety Disorder, Social Anxiety Disorder, Headaches, And Migraines.

MECHANISM OF ACTION:

MARTYZA (Mirtazapine) has a dual mode of action. It is a noradrenergic and specific serotonergic antidepressant (NaSSA) that acts by antagonising the adrenergic alpha2-autoreceptors and alpha2-heteroreceptors as well as by blocking 5-HT2 and 5-HT3 receptors. It enhances, therefore, the release of norepinephrine and 5-HT1A-mediated serotonergic transmission

DOSAGE:

1 Tablet once or twice a day, based on the condition of the patient, or as directed by the physician.

MAXIMUM DOSE; 15 mg/day.
