MIPTRED (Methylprednisolone) belongs to a class of drugs called glucocorticoids. It works by decreasing inflammation and changing the body’s immune response.

INDICATIONS: This medication is generally used to treat:-

Rheumatic Disorder

Asthma

Allergic Conditions

Eye Disorders And Skin Disorders.

Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE)

( SLE is an autoimmune disease in which the immune system attacks its own tissues, causing widespread inflammation and tissue damage in the affected organs. It can affect the joints, skin, brain, lungs, kidneys, and blood vessels.)

MECHANISM OF ACTION:

Methylprednisolone is a steroid which works by blocking the production of certain chemical messengers in the body like prostaglandins that cause inflammation (redness and swelling) and allergies.

DOSAGE:

Initial Dose: 4 to 48 mg/day or as directed by the physician.
