MSULPY (Amisulpride) belongs to a class of drugs known as atypical antipsychotics.

It is used for the treatment of psychotic diseases & disorders like schizophrenia ( A severe mental disorder in which the patient loses touch with reality.)

INDICATION:

Schizophrenia

Depression

Anxiety ( Panic attacks)

Can be used in combination with other drugs for treating Bipolar disorder.

MECHANISM OF ACTION:

Amisulpride aids in the treatment of schizophrenia & depression by blocking pre-synaptic dopamine D2 and D3 receptors, thereby increasing the levels of dopamine in the synaptic cleft and facilitating dopaminergic transmission.

DOSAGE:

For negative symptoms of schizophrenia – 50 to 300 mg/day

For positive symptoms of schizophrenia – 400 to 1200 mg/day

Or as directed by the physician.
