OFROMIP O Tablet is a combination of two antibiotics. It is used in the treatment of bacterial and parasitic infections. It effectively treats a wide range of bacterial infections that may occur in the teeth, lungs, gastrointestinal infections, urinary and genital tract.

INDICATIONS :

Loose motion with stomach infection
Infection from eating bad food (food poisoning

Burning or pain while passing urine (urine infection)

Tooth or gum infection

MECHANISM OF ACTION :

Ofloxacin is a fluoroquinolone antibiotic that works by inhibiting bacterial DNA gyrase, an enzyme essential for bacterial DNA replication and repair. This leads to the death of aerobic (oxygen-requiring) bacteria. Ornidazole is an antiprotozoal and antibacterial agent that works against anaerobic bacteria and certain parasites. It enters the microbial cells and damages their DNA, preventing them from growing or multiplying. When combined, Ofloxacin and Ornidazole provide broad-spectrum coverage against both aerobic and anaerobic bacteria, as well as protozoa, making the combination effective for treating mixed infections.

DOSAGE :

Usually taken twice a day or as directed by the physician.
