PANTODIX (Pantoprazole) belongs to a class of drugs known as proton-pump inhibitors.It is widely used to treat various GIT(Gastro-intestinal) diseases & disorders.

INDICATIONS:

Stomach ulcers

Heartburn

Gastro oesophageal reflux disease (GORD)

Peptic Ulcer(Off-label)

Zollinger-EllisonSyndrome (Tumors in stomach due to excessive acid secretion)

MECHANISM OF ACTION:

Pantoprazole is a proton pump inhibitor (PPI). Proton pumps are enzymes in the lining of the stomach, these enzymes play a key role in the secretion of acid in order to digest food. Pantoprazole prevents proton pumps from working properly. This reduces the amount of acid the stomach makes.

DOSAGE:

General Dose: one tablet (80mg) once a day

Pantoprazole has a relatively long duration of action compared with other PPIs (BANNER JAISE DESIGN M LIKHNA ISKO)
