PANTODIX C is a medicine used to treat gastroesophageal reflux disease (acid reflux) and non-ulcer dyspepsia (indigestion). It relieves the symptoms of acidity such as heartburn, stomach pain, or irritation. It also neutralizes the acid and promotes easy passage of gas to reduce stomach discomfort.

INDICATIONS: Used in the treatment of-

Helps lower extra acid in the stomach.
Gives relief from heartburn and sour burps.

MECHANISM OF ACTION:

Pantoprazole works by blocking the proton pump (H+/K+ ATPase) in the stomach lining, which significantly reduces the production of gastric acid. This helps in relieving symptoms of acid reflux, heartburn, and in healing acid-related damage like ulcers. Cinitapride 3mg acts as a prokinetic agent by stimulating serotonin (5-HT4) receptors and blocking dopamine (D2) receptors, which increases the release of acetylcholine. This action enhances gastrointestinal motility, helping the stomach empty more efficiently and reducing bloating, nausea, and fullness.

DOSAGE:

One tablet once daily, usually before breakfast (on an empty stomach).
