Permethrin is an Antifungal medication, It is generally used in the treatment of :-

Scabies

Head lice

MECHANISM OF ACTION:

Permethrin, a pyrethroid, is active against a broad range of pests including lice, ticks, fleas, mites, and other arthropods. Permethrin acts on the nerve cell membrane to disrupt the sodium channel current by which the polarisation of the membrane is regulated.

HOW TO USE:

For scabies: Apply soap on the body until lather. Keep for 3-5 minutes. Wash it with water thoroughly.

For lice: apply on the scalp. Massage gently. Leave it for 10 minutes. Wash with water. And then comb.
