Silodosin 8mg & Dutasteride 0.5mg Capsules

SILODOLIX-D is a combination of 2 medicinal compounds : – Silodosin 8 mg & Dutasteride 0.5mg

INDICATIONS: This medication is generally used for the treatment of:

BPH (Benign prostatic hyperplasia)

Painful urination

Incomplete bladder emptying

MECHANISM OF ACTION:

Silodosin is a selective a1 antagonist. Smooth muscle tone in the prostate is mediated by a1A receptors; blocking them leads to relaxation of smooth muscle in the bladder neck and prostate, causing an improvement of urine flow and a decrease in symptoms of BPH.

Dutasteride is a 5-alpha-reductase inhibitor which helps in shrinking the prostate gland by decreasing the level of the hormone which helps the prostate gland grow.

DOSAGE:

Standard dosage: 1 Capsule daily, 30 Minutes after the same meal
