Terbinafine Hydrochloride Lotion 1% w/v

TERBOSENSE (Terbinafine Hydrochloride) is an Antifungal medication.

INDICATIONS:

This medication is generally used for the treatment fungal infections like:

Athlete’s foot

Jock Itch

Tinea corporis (Ringworm of the body)

Tinea versicolor (A common fungal infection of the skin)

Onychomycosis (Fungal infections of fingernails, and toenails.)

MECHANISM OF ACTION:

TERBOSENSE (Terbinafine) has a fungicidal effect by inhibiting the enzyme squalene monooxygenase which is involved in the synthesis of sterol in fungi. This inhibits fungal sterol biosynthesis by decreasing ergosterol levels (ergosterol is an important component of fungal cell membranes).

DIRECTIONS:

Clean and dry the affected skin properly.

Then, apply a thin layer of TERBOSENSE Lotion on and around the affected skin gently.

Do not cover the area after applying the lotion, unless specified by the doctor.
