MANILITH 300 /400 /450 PR (LITHIUM CARBONATE) is classified as an alkali metal that is an antimanic medication.

INDICATIONS:Manic episodes of Bipolar Disorder, Bipolar Disorder, Manic (DSM-III) is equivalent to Manic Depressive illness, Manic.

MECHANISM OF ACTION:

MANILITH 300 /400 /450 PR (LITHIUM CARBONATE)interacts with a number of neurotransmitters and receptors, decreasing norepinephrine release and increasing serotonin synthesis.

DOSAGE:

300 to 450 mg twice a day or as directed by the physician. The physician can increase or reduce the dose strength as per patient conditions.
