SUCROIRON (Iron Sucrose Injection 100mg) It is used to treat a type of anemia where you have too few red blood cells because you have too little iron in your body (iron-deficiency anemia). Iron is needed to produce the red blood cells that carry oxygen around your body.

INDICATIONS:

Iron Deficiency

Anemia due to Chronic Kidney disease

MECHANISM OF ACTION:

SUCROIRON (Iron Sucrose Injection 100mg) Following intravenous administration, iron sucrose is dissociated into iron and sucrose and the iron is transported as a complex with transferrin to target cells including erythroid precursor cells. The iron is then incorporated into hemoglobin as the cells mature into red blood cells.

DOSAGE: 100 mg is given 2-3 times a week
